NC Video Ideas

I wrote my first NC music video thing today!
Well, I finished it.
I was listening to Should've Known Better in that twilight time between consciousness and sleep and the basic ideas popped into my head so I made them into a screenplay/video thing.

Does anyone else do this, or am I crazy? :D

I have actually when I play songs think of a video if there isn't already one. I like yours but the only thing I didn't like was the whole Boss trying to undress Sara thing. It didn't seem very Nickel Creekish. If I would have actually seen them make that video I would be kind of disapointed with that part. The rest of the idea was really good. But that part just is still bothering me because I couldn't ever see that happening. But the rest is great don't get me wrong. You are very creative though. Good job. Whenever my ideas come in my mind I forget them by the time I want to do something with them. But I do the whole video thing for practically every song.

actually, i read this earlier this morning and i did not want to reply at first because i had a small constructive criticism but no solution to not just sound snippy. but i had some extra time while i was in the shower (cause multitasking there is a little bit harder) and something occurred to me. so here's my comment, and my idea.
i REALLY like your idea for this video... to me, it works. the only thing that did not work for me, was how involved Sean Chris and Sara where in it. to me it didn't quite seem like their thing. they so far have liked to either be the musicians in the foregroud, or the observers in the background. so, assuming that's their style and the way they like it... i at first had no solution for that because i really DO like that idea.
then i thought of something. they might, in more keeping with the way they have been, instead of being the three people the video was about... have those be random people, and the three of them be everyone else. well not quite everyone, not the boss. but let them be the ones who pile the papers on (in your idea)Sean's desk, the ones who keep walking by Chris' office and seeing him doing strange things. the boss could be watching tv but instead of an actual sit-com, it could be NC reenacting a very obvious iconic sit-com scene. and instead of Sara being the secretary, have her be the girl at the next desk over. one step further being that the three people you initially had being Sean Chris and Sara, could resemble them to some degree... at least type-wise. and then in the instrumental breaks they could actually be playing their instruments... and they could all even sing, like no one was really watching them because of everything going on around.
anyway like i said, your idea is fabulous... and i think if they had ever (or do ever) decide to make a video for that, it SHOULD be something along the lines of what you said.
but then i had my random idea and thought i would share my $.02 :D

We've had a thread like this before with several good ideas for Should've Known Better. I was actually thinking about a video for the song a few days ago since Smoothie Song has been out for a year now, and no new video to follow it.

Your idea is really descriptive-- I like it. I felt like I were watching the video when I was reading your ideas. Though, like fiddlincklcrker, I wasn't too fond of the boss forcing himself upon Sara and undressing her. Chris and Sean's parts were humourous; I would love to see that.

A little off-topic, but not quite: When I listen to a song, sometimes, I think of visuals for them. I thought of pretty neat ideas for Green and Grey, Trouble ( though it's not quite complete ), Hiding, and maybe a few more. I should've written the ideas down, because now I scarcely remember what they were about. :o

maybe she could help the other girl... maybe she could step in and stop it.
in fact, the more i think about it, maybe Sean Sara and Chris could be the ones who DO help the other three out of their horrible situations. its a very good idea. keep going with it. :)
