I just noticed that a local PBS station is airing a show called Jubilee featuring Chris Thile and Nickel Creek on July 5th. They're showing it at the time they normally air Mountain Stage. Does anyone know what this is or when it was filmed? Lisa

hey lrob77
Is there a link you can give me to the place where you found that out? Or can you just tell me what time it's airing? I sure wouldn't wanna miss that!

I saw the listing in the TV Guide. After doing a little investigating on PBS.org and tvguide.com I discovered that it's a concert from the Kentucky Folk Festival in Bardstown. I would imagine that it's pretty old, but I've never seen it. Lisa

I saw this show last night on my local PBS station. I don't know how many of you have see it, but it's quite the experience to see it. It was filmed in 1998. It came on at 11 here and I was flipping through the channels and saw it on and freaked out. Then I ran to tell my older sister and we watched it together. I almost fell asleep in church this morning because I was up until 12 watching it, but it was well worth it. You can see how they've improved vocally and musically. It's pretty nifty. And my sister couldn't get over how different Chris looked.
I'm done now.

it is from 1998 they do a few songs from here to there and a lot of older ones that aren't released on albums just done in concert. my favorite ones are... scared, alive, and one man's horizon all written by chris.

I've seen that twice now. They're really good...how old ( or young! ) were they? I'm guessing Chris and Sara were about 16 or so, and Sean about 20-ish? They sounded as amazing as ever! I can't wait to see it again, maybe I can tape it this time without the tape running out...:( *sigh* :o

Does anybody know if it's coming on anytime soon or just anytime. I tried looking it up but couldn't find a date. I really want to see it and tape it. Thanks!

I saw it earlier last year....I always watch ACL and Jubilee...it comes on every sat/sun morning....I was surprised when I saw nickel creek in it...I was laughing the whole time...at the string break thing...you could hear the little dings..when chris was trying to play a note that was on the broken string....that just amused me for some reason...
