I joined this forum because while I do like Nickel Creek music (especially their self titled CD), I really wanted to post in the interesting political discussion going on in the Who do you think will win? thread.

Unforunately, that thread is now closed, and I honestly have no clue why, because things were staying fairly civil. Are the moderators normally this strict or is this just an isolated case?

There are just certain guidelines that have to be followed. We have a lot of younger members, so things have to stay at a G rating. In that thread, things were not G rated. And if the personal attacks being made in there were civil... Basically, both of us felt that it needed to be closed, as we went to do it at the same time. When I went to close it, I accidentally opened it and had to close it again, which meant Matt the Fid had already closed it. We hadn't even talked about it and both made the same judgement.

We are as lienient (oh how I butchered that word) as we can be.

I agree with your decision to close the political thread, but did you also just close the About Chris's New CD Deceiver? Or, did you move it or something? It seems to be locked or gone....
