Sara has written a lovely long entry in her journal... apologising for not writing in her journal! :) She catches us up a little on what they have been doing but as usual, its much nicer to hear about her- from her. So go read!

Sara's journal entries always inspires me to write as well. She is a very writer. She needs to have her own column or something. I love the way she describes things. She always make me smile whenever I read it. I love reading about what everyone is doing. It makes me feel like I know them better or something.

We can just forget about Dear Abby. It'll be Dear Sara..

Or she could be like Carrie Bradshaw on Sex in the City

I liked the paragraph where she talked about surfing/running on the beach and writing music...that would be THE LIFE. Can't wait till their new CD comes out!

Oh yeah, definately THE LIFE. That sounds like another perfect anywhere but here sitch. Anything on the beach is good for me.

i do love her... :D
i used to think her journal entries were great, but ever since my brother and i spent time talking to her that one night and now i can REALLY put a voice and a personality behind them... they are completely great.

Aww, that entry was awesome. I can just see her chasing after that frog, but yikes.... imagine catching it and then having it pee on you. Maybe it was scared? LOL

Past couple nights, eh? Fun to play for? That includes us, Brett! She wrote that the 25th and the show they played before Charlotte was in Newport News...so I think we can safely say that includes us. Hehe, I'll take victory in the ambiguous, if not the specific.

Glad she's updating. I do so love the way she writes.:) Perhaps Sara missed a calling as an English major...

Sara's writing style intrigues me. It also makes me wonder why she doesn't write more songs for their albums.

I know, Sarah is such a good writer she should try her hand at writing for Nickel Creek. It would be a nice change from Chris and Sean's writing styles.

It would be nice to hear a Sara song. Maybe on her solo cd someday.

Yea, I'd love a solo Sara cd!

She does have a great way with words:-)...makes me want to go study...or try to improve my vocabulary at least!

There's yet another new journal entry up (Nov. 15), go check it out! She talks about recording for their next album...gets me even more excited about it!

chickzilla

awesome, yay! seventeen songs would be great even though i know they favour shorter albums... but 13 on This Side was close. here's to hoping!

I just got back in town from a conference to sign on and find out this excellent news! I'm excited!!

Do realize, though, that considering and recording may not be the same things...

...though God knows I'd take it, gladly. :) Just don't wanna get hopes up.

Sara's updated again (11/19/04)!
Sounds like they are having a lot of fun...some funny visuals mentioned as well as some really sweet comments about Sean and Chris!

flutegrl71

That is very sweet.:D Ah, nostalgia.

I guess we can check Best of Luck off the list, eh? I don't think I've heard that one, though.[think har

oh... that's awesome.
it's so wonderful when one of them writes about how much they love the other two as family, it makes for a much better connection than just people who meet to play in a band. i love it.:D

I do really love Sara's journal entries, she writes so naturally and openly. Sounds like they're having a great time recording and it was nice to hear about when they were kids and what they got up to.

Reading her journal makes me feel like I am apart of the family...or it makes me what to be! They sound like they have so much fun together. Reading her journal reminds me how much I am like her. Some of the stuff she does sounds like something I would do. Like the one that she wrote about the cd player beeping when she was trying to go to sleep. That sounds like something I have done. They all just sound like this big wonderful fun family. It would be so amazing to be apart of something like that...and listen in on some of those redicious conversations that Chris and Sean have. :p

There's a new entry...(Dec. 22). It's really cool how Sara can make something as simple as pouring a cup of coffee into this great story and she'll analyze it. It's like she's a scientist. :D I think she likes to think a lot.

ugh they so totally need a reply to journal option. someone needs to tell Sara she's not alone! that is TOTALLY why i stopped getting pots of tea at Borders. i got tired of having most of it in my lap!:D
i especially enjoyed the writing about the aquarium and the Nurse shark... bad fish! and its nice they took some time off officially to shop for Christmas. everyone needs to brave that shopping-traffic.:)

well, we'll just reply on here :)

on the contrary, i don't think coffee pots are that hard to use...i used to work banquets and i would have a coffee pot in each hand (yes, pouring with my left hand), carrying them around until my wrists were about to die, pouring coffee around people at crowded tables in a nice restaurant who you definitely don't want to spill on...i don't think i ever spilled :D i was pretty impressed with myself actually.

I've spilt plenty of coffee. She wrote what most everyone on Earth has experienced and went into more detail than I could ever remember.

Glad that they got some time off to shop in the madness.

yet another NEW entry! from yesterday, the 10th, detailing a benefit concert she watched for the tsunami victims...
lots of rain involved!

Yea! I am always so happy when Sara writes. She keeps it up like a real journal almost. If only the others knew how much we liked it...then they might write in more than once a year...or for Chris...once a decade...when was the last time he wrote in his? It was back when I started liking the band.

i don't know, but he convinced me to buy Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (and i'm glad :))

PrincessNic

He convinced me to buy it as well...he can do that...that is why he needs to write more!! I could totally influence the music of today by just getting us to like it! I heard he is really into the new radiohead...anybody else like it?

Yes, it is truly awesome that Sara updates her journal entries quite frequently. Perhaps we can get a message to her begging Sean and Chris to do the same.
