Last night I had the amazing privilege and pleasure of seeing Nickel Creek in Midland with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

It was incredible, as I'm sure you will all be un-surprised to hear.
:)

But one thing!
During the jaw-dropping jam session with the two bands on stage, my friend and I noticed that Sara was the ONLY female out there!
And I just wanted to alert you all to that.
She's holding it down for us females.
And a big thanks to her for that.

God I love Nickel Creek.

i thought the same thing when i saw the Cingular cellular phone commercial - there she is, holding her own among the other famous bluegrass fiddlers. She was the one they HIGHLIGHTED.

Wow, I wanted to go to that Midland concert so much, I mean, it's an eight hour drive from my house to their but that was the closest NC was coming to me till October! Unfortuneately, I had my wisdom teeth cut out on that day so I was in no shape to drive there...I'm sure that NC rocked the house though!

I'm sure I did! And now I have to wait until OCTOBER to see them in concert! But the up side is that they're playing two dates in Virginia that are fairly close to each other and only about 4 hours away from West Virginia on Oct. 4 and 5, so I'll get to see them twice in two days! I can't wait!
