I heard about a new Glen Phillips album today on conservative talk radio, as I am a total right-winger. However, I'm surprised I didn't see anything about it here. Haven't even heard any samples.

Well, back to work...

Does anyone have this yet? I'd love to hear a review...

I dont have the CD yet but i have heard many of the songs at live shows and from his live at Largo CD. It is really disappointiong that so many songs from the new CD are also from the Live CD. But i love the song Falling and Dont Need Anything. Actually, all of them are great and have a great sound to them. I didnt even know about him before MAS and now he is one of my favorite artists out there (along with Nickel Creek). I would recommend it to anyone![noise]

So Friday afternoon I found a copy at the local Wal-Mart. (Which is quite shocking, since they hardly ever have new music...)

GREAT CD. Go buy it!

When I saw the track list for the album I thought, eh, I've heard it all live before so I don't need the album. But I figured I would support Glen anyway. Let me tell you, it was worth it. There are a lot of extra layers on the songs that make them more dynamic than live versions. The depth really makes the songs unique even to the beautiful live performances. There is a little bit more of a rock vibe to the album as well. It's actually still pretty cool and worth buying even if you have Largo or a collection of live shows.

My apologies if this has been posted before. You can sample the cd here:

The songs are great. It's likeable and poppy - and doing very well, I might add. I think it was #11 on the internet sales chart last week.
