Sara updated her journal again. She talks about going out on tour again and says the new album, Why Should the Fire Die, will be out Aug. 9.

That's a great entry. I'm so happy that the album is FINALLY FINISHED and the date is set.

Before heading out on this relatively short tour...

So does that mean that the dates on the site are it? No more?

It so awesome that Sara updates her journal entries as often as she does. Chris announced at his solo show in Nashville on Thursday the 21st of April, that Why Should the Fire Die is also one of the tracks on the record. Yes, unfortunately these are the only shows scheduled for now. It never takes them too long to get back out on the road though. Hang in there.

wow...i am SO excited for this album to come out. it should be awesome. only...3 months and...15 days? great!

*sigh* i am a little concerned she means that is the whole tour as well.
but i thought someone said that Chris said they were touring extensively for the new album. and those few dates are not extensively. so maybe she means they will take a break after the short tour, and then go back out.
and is anyone else getting a very funny and very cute picture of Sara trying to learn to skateboard better?

I am so extremely jealous that they hung out in Nashville all week and I didn't even know it...If I had I would have dropped by, it is not that far from where I live...and apparently they were all at Chris's show last week too...

But I am glad the album has an official date...now we can start the countdown. I would say that they would be going out on another tour soon...they have to promote their album. That is what they usually do. So if they don't tour during the summer then they might after the album comes out. I wouldn't worry too much. They like to tour.

And as always, Sara and her journal made me smile!

I talked to Sara (and the rest of the crew last night) and she said that they are doing this little tour now...in September they are touring in Europe again...and there will be a tour for the US as well.

BtwnGreenGray - I love you!!!! :D You have no idea how happy that tiny piece of information has made me! It's been over two years since I last saw them (last time was March 16th 2003), I hope it's true and they really do come back, I'm dying to see them again... I miss them!
