When I saw NC at Riverbend they did Taxman. Could anyone tell me who did that one originally? I had not heard it before then so I have no idea.

It is a Beatles song. It is on the Revolver album, one of my very favorite Beatles albums.

Hoorah for the Tax Man remix! I love it when they perform it so that it leads into Ode to a Butterfly. Supercool.
P.S. If you do not own Revolver, go buy it NOW!

I saw them perform Taxman in Johnson City, and when they finished it, there was some pretty funny dialogue. Something like this:

Chris: That's a little song me and Sean wrote right before this set. Yeah, its actually called Taxman.

Sean: Yeah, you know you've written a good song when people recognize it, but they can't really remember what it's called. We played it backstage and someone recognized it but couldn't remember the name.

Chris: Yeah, we were like really? That's pretty cool.

I thought it was pretty funny. maybe you had to be there.
