Well...I busted out the PS again tonight, and the result was another wall paper. It was actually a whole bunch of accidents thrown together...but I kinda like it. Along with it are a couple icons (100x100) that I made a little while ago. *shares*

How did you get screen caps? Mine plays in Windows Media Player, and it's protected so I can't take screen caps :(

he can hear her thinking... or perhaps he can hear Chris cause there's nothing in Sara's head blocking the sound (that is generally the implication, though here it is WRONG :) )

yes, so good job all you who are whizzes at PSP and the like. I can't do anything of the sort. I can only figure out some little basic tooling around with layers, but that's about it. Oh yeah, and image resizing and cropping is also a part of my limited abilities on Adobe.

I do like the Sara's shoes one in the first post. Lurvely.

Well I am just jealous that I can't do many things with photoshop, but I have it on my new computer, just don't have any pictures. I have some but not much. I have already accomplished some things, just not up to what I was hoping. :)

A few questions about the red wallpaper...

How did you replicate the Nickel Creek This Side font? (In the lower right hand corner)
Where did you get your fire-ish light texture?
What font did you use for their title Why Should the Fire Die?

I'll tackle the font questions first:

The font I used for the Nickel Creek was actually a nifty little font called Anarchistic, (one of my new favorites) and the Why Should the Fire Die? font is called Artistamp Medium. I think I got them both at www.dafont.com. I love font shopping, and that's one of my favorite sites to do it at.

As for the firey texture...pure accident. I took that little picture off of the website when they revamped it, and decided to use it in the wallpaper, but I didn't like how it was just a rectangle. So I smudged it out until it looked good, and then when I put the red overlay on the whole thing, the stretched out candles on the tables just looked all...glowy :D Hurray for life's little surprises.

I'm actually looking at that wallpaper for the first time on a desktop computer and wow, does it look darker than on my laptop. This is the problem with having photoshop on my lappy...everything looks lovely to me, and so much darker on everyone else's end.

It's been forever since I've posted, but since I've been away I've tried my hand at wallpaper making. It's 800x600 tell me what you think, straight up, don't mince words!!

This one took me forever...but it was worth the procrastination, I think :rolleyes: At least it was fun to make.

Two variations on the same (both 1024x786), because I couldn't figure out which colors I liked best. Hopefully they look alright.

Pictures were taken from the Times Free Press feature. When I saw these pics, I just couldn't not do anything with them. Words were pulled from the article too.

What you've done with them is great. One day my Photoshop knowledge will be advanced enough to do cool stuff like that too...I hope.
