You can't directly download the show off of the website, you have to have an FTP client. I don't know how to explain it, but there is some help on www.bluegrassbox.com. Maybe a more enlightened person could explain it to you on here. And anyone with the setlist...help me out!!

Those shows were hosted on the Bluegrassbox at one time, but are of course no longer available once NC announced their refined taping and trading policy to not allow online hosted shows.

guys talk about the setlist.. but please leave the online transfer talk out of here..

Quite simply, online trading or transfering files is illegal, and disrespects the band. Please don't encourage it unless the policy changes.

thanks
matt

I am working with Qprime- the band's managment to better define the policy right now.. But remember, Qprime also manages Metallica... [cough cough] You know the history there...

Also, please don t make our music available (even to individuals with whom you're doing a one-to-one-trade) via electronic download, file sharing (Gnutella, KaZaa, Morpheus, AIM, etc), FTP, or other electronic/Internet distribution or sharing method.

Matt-
I'm so sorry! Please feel welcome to delete the thread and thanks for making the band's policy clear.

I guess I don't see the problem. There are no Nickel Creek shows on Bluegrassbox, they were removed when Nickel Creek created their no online trading policy, which is the point I was making in my last post. The show in question is a Chris solo show and if Chris (or his representative) ever wanted it removed it would be - Bluegrassbox is very aware and responsive to artists' taping and trading policies.

I didn't know that they removed creek stuff... there are too many online sites to keep track of.. in skimming it.. i didn't see that part of it.. oh well.

getting down to the minor technicalities.. technically the record label has ownership over all creek stuff, as well as solo artist appearances from band members... [and duos with outher groups] the is why many times signed artists have appears via blank blank records, etc.]
this part is the confusing part.. since glen allows online trading, people defaulted the mas shows for online, [or got permission from the artist [which legally is no good- they have given those rights to their managment and label.. and it is more record label problems than artist conflicts most of the time....]

suposidly MAS was given permission by one of the people from the office.. so I am trying to clarify if the policy is the same, or has changed... [and to clarify these minor points as well]
If they change it heck.. we might have a resource on the site here for good downloads!
