cactus café show austin,tx 07-25-05

i bartended the nickel creek show at the cactus café in austin, tx... soooo good. i like the idea of having intimate shows. the cactus only fits 150 people so it was nice being so close to the performers and having a seat. well i was behind the bar, but you know what i mean. chris was very nice (not to mention cute) and they all rocked the cactus.

Was that you who brought the band refreshments toward the end of the show? Great moment. Great show. And intimate? Several rows back was still just 10' from the band!

I'll guess that me and the guy next to me were not the only wanna-be pickers there, in fact I'll bet the place was crammed with players. That's due to my observation that as soon as the music would start, the folks around me would get deathly quiet and just stare at the band. Of course all would cheer insanely at the end of each song.

yeah it was me that asked if they wanted to drink... jameson's on the rocks. and about 5 different girls came up and aked if i needed someone to bring the drinks to them. hehe
