I am so stupid, I know we must have talked about this before, but I am having a dumb blonde moment. Is that Glen Phillips in the This Side video? It must be. But I can't remember.

Speaking of This Side, I was thinking about how light and fun that album and that song was. This new album is darker and more intense. Not that I don't love that, but just listening to the This Side always puts me in a good mood! The song is so peppy! It kind of reminds me of Sam Phillips's musical cues on Gilmore Girls.

Yes, Glen is in it. He's the guy in the dark blue sweatshirt who slides the couch over (with the guy in the suit) and then is the first to sit down on it.

The guy in the suit (who kinda looks like Matthew McConaughey to me) looks familiar, but I can't place hm.

i just got to meet glen the other night (sunday night, precisely).... :) he was super nice....opened up for carbon leaf...

i was glad because he played one night a time - the one he just co-wrote w/sean - but bummed because i was hoping maybe sean or someone would drop in on him during his set, seeing as they were playing the following night also in seattle...

but when i talked to him he said sean had just called him and they'd just gotten in...oh well...i least i had the fun of hoping... :)

Not fair, i soooo wanted to go to that show!!!! Those always sell out though... it was at the zoo one right? I bet it was awesome. Carbon Leaf is a great band, with Glen, i couldnt believe it. Oh well, maybe next time.

yes it was the zoo tunes series....it was a fun show...my first time seeing either of them live...carbon leaf has a lot of fun on stage....and glen was cool too (though i didn't applaud when he did randy neuman's drop the big one or whatever it's called - just call me anti-anti-american!!! :) )

something else kind of funny happened... in the middle of smoothie song sean broke a string - you hear a couple sour notes and sara laughing...:D at the end sara said we should explain that sean broke a string there!!!
