Did anyone notice on their cd if you look on the back on the top left hand corner it says Limited Edition then a number mine is 72, 107. Is anyone else like this? Are any of their other cds like this?

I noticed that on the signed case that I got, it doesn't have a Limited Edition number at all.

Maybe it's like the Willy Wonka Golden Ticket... and you win a private concert & dinner with the band...

[lolol]

Hey! That'd rock! :D

fiddlincklcrker

That would rock. Dang, I went back and looked at some other cd numbers and they were all either 200,000+ or 499,000+

Mine is 140,714

And I think it means the kind of case it is, I think the cardboard cases are limited, mine's cardboard and most cd cases are plastic. I dunno, I'm probably wrong though.

Is yours cardboard or plastic?

Eric18
08-10-2005, 08:45 PM
cardboard, and yea im pretty sure thats what the difference is in the limited edition, is that its in a fancy package.

Tinuviel Girl
08-10-2005, 08:52 PM

well Eric beat me, the one i pre-ordered its 62k something (i am too lazy to go all the way upstairs to look), but the one i bought at Borders is 190,871
i might go check some more numbers at some more places... just cause. i am bored and have free time like that. *shrug*

I like the cardboard just for the reason that they don't crack. I have broken way to many cd cases because of it. My Nickel Creek This Side cd has its cover part broken off and so does Chris Thile NAWWAL is the same way. Lots of opening and closing to put them in my cd player. :)

And then you can line them all up numerically on the store floor, making a Nickel Creek chain across the nation!:-))

LOL! Have a convention of Creekers, and line em all up ... that'd be sweet!

Yes we shall, I shall go to all the stores and number them. If people ask me why I shall tell them to come read this board.

the cd art is called the digipack i believe. and last i heard the plan was to have that instead of jewel cases..
i think the cardbard has a littel higher printing cost than the jewels.. though those figures only come from one company that i have seen pries.

Well, if you go to Wal-Mart at Fort Payne, AL, the last time I looked they had one that was #100 something. I think it was like 146.

fiddlincklcrker, I didn't buy it, b/c I don't really care what number I have. Plus, I'm a college student and poor, so I didn't want to buy it again. I didn't know it was there until I already had my copy. :)

fiddlincklcrker
08-20-2005, 09:22 AM
I guess I am the biggest gullible person in the world. That should be my nickname rather than Gedita. I can't help it sometimes, I am a fool when it comes to anything creek. I understand what you were saying ceekster_anna, its just I am so caught up in the moment that I can't help myself. Must learn self control.

creekster_anna
08-20-2005, 12:01 PM
:) It's ok. Your profile says you're about 15, so you have time to learn. :)

...btw, if I sound harsh at times, I don't mean to; I just forget sometimes that some ppl here are not as old as I am and have a different perspective on things.

fiddlincklcrker
08-20-2005, 12:07 PM
I know, I am only 15, will be 16 on February 18, that I still have bunchs of things to learn about real life and how real people live. I tend to also forget that because I am not as old as most people on the board, meaning between like 18-25, and I think that most of the people on the board here that are under 18 might get as much caught up in the moment as I do. Who knows I might be the only one. As I warn everyone now, I do tend to say things harshly too. But most of the people who know me tend to look past that and remember that is me. Enough rambling, what college do you go to?

creekster_anna
08-20-2005, 12:12 PM
Jacksonville State University. I only have one semester left, my student teaching. I'm a little scared about it all too.

Um, other ppl would prolly appreciate it, though, if you would just e-mail me if you want to talk about things other than NC. I would be glad to answer you by e-mail if you want to talk more. :)

(In case you don't already know, but you prolly do, you can e-mail me from a link in my profile.)

Yeah, I was just trying to get off the other topic, so I just changed the subject. I know that I shouldn't have done that. Well how about I get back on the topic I originally started. I was talking with my dad about the limited edition thingy. He said that he thought that the first 100 would have been the signed ones that they were selling for the pre-order on the .com, but then I thought about it more, with the person who claims that they got #4, and realized that the band probably got the first 3 that came out. I don't know it was just a guess. Also I was hoping that somebody on here got one of the 100 cds that were autographed, but from what I can tell no one has.
Also just to jump back a tiny bit, I did no where the email link was, but thanks for letting me know. :)

Jimmie

I got two of the autographed CDs from Sugar Hill - neither one had a number at all. I gave them both away as gifts - one to my daughter, the other to my sister.

My own copy doesn't have a number either.

fiddlincklcrker

Is it a cardboard box? Wow, I haven't seen a copy that didn't have a number.

08-22-2005, 01:49 PM
fiddlincklcrker don't worry about it. Being gullible happens to the best of us. Just wanted to put a little joke on there before my real number.
