I've been a frequent surfer of the NC site for a couple of years, but have never logged onto the message board. I thought, What the heck? so here I be.

I've been a fan of NC for the last three years and think they are the shiznit. It was just by accident that I was surfing through the TV channels and happened on NC doing The Lighthouse's Tale on CMT.

This is HIGHLY unlike me, as I am not a country fan by any means. I grew up listening to rock 'n' roll and some pretty heavy stuff at that.

The thing that got me was the incredible use of harmonies, then my jaw dropped evenmore when I began to experience the greatness that is Chris Thile, then Sean, then Sara. It was a completely different experience all together unlike what I would consider country music.

I know pretty strange, born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and I don't like country music.

Ever since that channel surfing day, I've been with NC and have had the pleasure of seeing them on the This Side tour. I was third row and was in awe the whole time! I'm looking forward to their date here in November; however, a little bummed that it's general admission. I'm still stoked to be there though! The rock band that I play in, has actually played at the venue they will be at (Gypsy Tea Room).

Anyway, just wanted to drop a line to you guys and say that I look forward to reading/writing posts to fellow NC fans out there!

Why are you bummed about the general admission venue?? Get there early, grab a bevvy and get up front.

I for one wouldn't have it any other way.

Welcome, and I'm new too.

General admission Nickel Creek concerts rock...I've been to...oh, 9 or so now, and it's sooo much better than having to sit in a seat and be still...lol...make the best of it! Get there early!

Welcome to the boards, both of you!

I agree! Even if I have the chance to get reserved seating, I always go with GA. Get there early, get up front and be prepared to rock out...It is the best way to really experience a NC concert!
