I hope that this isn't a completely stupid question, but how do you pronounce Thile? At first I thought it was like Thile like rymes with style. Then my sister told mi it was tee-lee. and now I heard it was th-ee-lee. So...I'm confused.

I think it's theelee...I guess it just depends on the accent with how strongly the 'h' comes out.

Fascinating. I always thought it was Thile rhymes with style. I must investigate further...

I did for awhile as well, and then I started hearing people actually say it. I was still skeptical until I heard Sean say Theelee, at which point I thought it became rather obvious that that's what it was lol

theelee is correct. I met NC and this question came up. I felt stupid and didn't want to ask Chris how to say his own name so I asked Sara.

I know...at first I got used to saying Thile (rymes with style) and then I got used to saying Teelee, and now I have to get used to saying Theelee and it's taking a while...

I had been pronouncing it wrong as well! (Rhyming with 'style'.) I also heard the announcer on World Cafe last night pronounce it 'Thee-lee', and that got me wondering!
Yep, I'm another that must change her thinking. I feel a little silly having said it wrong all this time!

I used to say Thile (style) now I'm weaning myself onto pronouncing it Thee-lee.
Occasionally a Thile will pop up every now and but I quickly replace it with Thee-lee.
I've been calling him Thile for a looong time, it might take a bit to switch it over to Thee-lee but by golly! It's gonna happen darn it!

My whole family used to say it, (Style)... my dad still calls him teal-ee. I tell him its Thile (Thee-lee) but he says it anyways.
