I had trouble choosing. Since WSTFD is the new one I guess it would be that one right now...but now that I see that This Side doesn't have any votes I kind of want to go vote for it. I love that album!

Sorry.... as much as I am loving WSTFD there is a soft spot in my heart for This Side... That album saw me through some of the hardest trials I think I'll ever go through. It was like a light of hope.

They all have such different qualities, and appeal to me for different reasons. I really say they are all about equal to me. There are times when nothing will do but a good listen to the ST album. It will always have a soft spot in my heart.

This Side addicted me at first listen, whereas WSTFD took a while to hook me... but again, just very different. I'd say between the two, I like WSTFD a bit more than This Side. But I love the ST & WSTFD about equally.

Heck, it's almost like they are different bands hahaha.

Well I have spoken, This Side would have to be my choice, but it was difficult. The reason I chose This Side is because this is how I found out about Nickel Creek. I saw the video for This Side and was instantly hooked. I feel in love with it about a month before it came out with just have listening to one song! And also when I play This Side in the car my dad and brother know exactly which song is which and I think it is great! All of them have special qualities but this one ranks best then WSTFD and Self-Titled are tied for 2nd because I really couldn't choose between them. No one is last!

Most definitely WSTFD as I think they have matured greatly as writers and I love the direction that they are headed.


PS Jimmie, why don't you record a version of that song with you doing a yodel and splice it in with Sara. Now that would be my fave!!!

I personally cannot commit. Each one has its time and season, not to mention a different reason for why I enjoy it, when I enjoy it.
I think the new one crosses genras a bit more, the instruments are bigger and broader. It is a bit darker and moody.
the kicker is that it is new, so for today, I like it best.

However, the new record has caused me to listen to one and two much more than I was, and they are both solid too.

All three at different times will be my new favorite.

(sorry for the long answer to a simple question, I tend to do that)

Under the threat of death, I would have to pick the new one too. It is the one that I would take on a desert Island with me.
