I wanted to let everyone know I just got the new AK+US CD, New Favorite, a few days ago and I am really enjoying it! I like the variety of the types of songs and the fact that Dan Tyminsky (I'm not sure how to spell his name) and Ron Block sing solo on some songs (well, actually Ron only has one solo). There is also an instrumental song written by Jerry Douglas that I think is really cool. My favorite songs so far are The Lucky One, Chocktaw Hayride, The Bright Sunny South, Daylight, and Stars. I encourage anyone here who hasn't yet to check this one out.

I really like The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn too. I think it is pretty funny myself.
I also have the Ron Block CD Faraway Land. It's a really good one too if you like the more traditional sound and Christian lyrics. Plus, if I remember correctly, all of the members of NC have some part in it. So that's another reason to check that one out.[noise]

Yeah, that's got to be my favorite of Alison's CDs. I think my fav. song is The Lucky One. The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn is great too ... I love the way the girl tells him off at the end. This CD (and Nickel Creek's first CD!!!) was my first introduction to bluegrass/newgrass, whatever you wanna call it.
I have the Faraway Land CD too, and I think it's great! I also think it's really cool that Ron Block wrote all of the songs!
