I am learning to play the fiddle. I haven't been playing for too long. I started with a teacher but she moved away so now I am trying to learn on my own.:)

The first instrument I ever tried to play was about 5 years ago, and that was a fiddle. It was the hardest thing I had ever tried in my life, so needless to say I did not get very far. About a year after that I decided to get a mandolin then I got a guitar, much better. So I have been playing mandolin and guitar seriously for about 4 years now. I am no Chris or Sean, and I did not start playing when I was six, but, I put my time in (around 4 hours a day), work really hard and I can only strive to be the best musician that I can be. So for all you people who are just starting out, keep working at it and remember to have fun.

I played fiddle, mando, and guitar. I love each instrument, I couldnt choose a favorite. I've played each for about 6 years. If I could choose another instrument to learn, it would have to be the bass.
Andrew:)
Excitedly awaiting tomorrow!

I play guitar and bass, a little bit of drums and I sing. I also play a little piano/keyboard, am learning the mandolin, violin, and harmonica. If you have any suggestions for mandolin, violin, or harmonica instruction, I'd gladly appreciate them...so far I can make basic chords on the mandoline, make screeching noises with the violin, and pretend to play the harmonica :)

i play recorder, which is sorta like a flute...i gues itz okay, but i like my cd player better, lol
and i sing too....i love to sing, i think it is the greatest. music is the only world you cannot corrupt with terrorism and fear and even tho it is manmade (sometimes), it can not be brought down, like a building.....justa thought

WOW! Great thought! I agree with you totally! I can't imagine what my life would be like without music, and especially without Nickel Creek music!
