Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched the forums and did not fine any mention.
I was listening to an album that I haven't pulled out in several years. It is lay it down by Jennifer Knapp. She does a cover of Diamond in the rough, and looking through the credits I saw that Chris Thile played the mandolin on that song, and was also mentioned in the thank you's. I was wondering if anyone knows the story behind that and how he became involved in the project. That album was released in 1999 which is a year before NC's first album came out. I never heard of nickel creek until 2002, so I was pleasently surprised to find I had listened to Chris Thile two years before that without knowning it.
Jennifer Knapp is a Christian artist if that helps anyone remember anything about this.
Thanks for anyone's info.
