What a great evening we had! As Sara said in a CMT interview once....there's quite a jazz scene here in San Diego and when they're home, in between tours, they jam with old friends in that jazz world.
Tonight we went to a session at a small, downtown barn like place....about 250 people, I'd say. The group included Sara and Sean....and their jamming buddies Peter Sprague, Tipp Sprague, Keven Hennessy and Duncan Moore.
They did a mixture of stuff....including a really jazz version of Reasons Why! They sang three songs from new cd. Most of the music, however, was pure jazz and it was marvelous!
I chatted for about 30 seconds with Sean, about his upcoming single cd (he confirmed that it's not ready and won't be until fall).
He and Sara are smaller than I pictured them...up and down and around! They're adorable.
