Dang I never really payed attention to that. He does have giant feet. But I can't complain, I have really big feet for a girl. But man are his feet big. I wonder what size they are. If you look at other pictures his feet don't look that big, or do they?

I have trouble concentrating on his shoes in that picture. All I can think of is how quickly I'd spill something on an outfit that was mostly white in colour.

I think it's just the angle of the picture that makes his feet look big. His foot is closer to the camera than the rest of him, so it's going to look larger.

I think you all might be right because the more I look at other pictures the more I think, nah his feet are probably normal men's size. In the Helena picture it kind of looks like he is wearing Converse and they always make peoples feet look big. Now I don't know if that is what he is wearing, but it looks like that or something similar./

I would have to agree that feet aren't one of the most attractive thing about a person, but we aren't really looking at his feet just his shoes. :)(

Yeah they might be about an 11, but I still think that is about an average guy size. Hey but what I can fit into a 10 in men's but I am a girl, I see something wrong with this.............
If I have the guts when I see them in concert in December hopefully I will get to talk to them and I will ask him what size shoe he wears.

Oh of course! Now as long as I am in the right state of mind at the concert I will ask him. I will probably be thinking the whole night ok I have to ask him I have to ask him and then tell everyone on the .info boards. Then when the time comes it will stumble out like this

That is my little moment with him. Sneakers are awesome, I wish I had sneakers. I just bought some boots. I caved, everyone I know has the big black boots and I finally got a pair. In my defense they are fluffy on the inside, and I'm a sucker for anything that's fluffy on the inside lol.

But his shoes are better. And Sara always has interesting shoes. I don't really notice Sean's shoes...

One of the things I love about this band is thier tendency to open the eyes (ears?) of their listeners to really absorbing and appriciating music. There is an entire world of material out there to discuss and think about in a forum like this with like minded fans, without it being a Thile-gushfest 24/7.

There have been times when we've had quite a few music discussions launched by Chris's work. Unfortunately I think people who particiapate in those get turned off by threads like these and stop posting... which, to me, is very sad & unfortunate.

There is an off topic section on this board for as much social silliness as you'd like to dish out and have fun with! And I know for a fact that Bryan can be as random and silly as you please ;) So can I! I just feel that the musician forums on this board are not the best place to do so.

Kudos to the members, new and old, who keep good discussions alive and share their thoughts to start new ones. Keep up the good work :D

i've been pondering this feet problem, and I think I have come to a conclusion...those shoes make anyone's feet look big. you just never usually look at them from a side angle. I have a pair of similar shoes and they make my normal 8 1/2s look like clown feet. besides, big is not necessarily bad

Well I think that in the Helena picture thing that they are converse, but I am probably mistaken. But I know that normally pictures that you see of him he is wearing the O.S. Simple Shoes(which I want a pair of!) and they don't make his feet look that big.

The way that you have that picture set up it really does look like them. I just wanted to add about the goth thing that I don't that goth people wear them. Every goth person that I have seen wore big black combat boots. I don't recall seeing many goths were converse if any. But I own 3 pair of the re-issue ones and they rock :)

well, I think goth styles vary from place to place. Most of the goth kids at my school are more emo than goth, but they think they are really depressed and deep. whatever. to each his own. but anyway, many of them do wear chucks

I think maybe it's more the punk rockers that wear the Converse. But like Lorelai said, it seems that everyone likes converse, no matter what kind of styles they are into.

Oh I totally agree that everyone(well almost everyone) is into converse. I do notice that a lot of the punk rockers that I have seen wear converse and they also wear those ugly skin tight too low cut jeans. It is really disgusting for me to look around and see a really hot guy wearing girls pants. Is anyone else digusted by this?? I better add that I am sorry if I offended anyone just now with that statement.

Anyway, just wanted to say that the Goths (Original Goths) such as the Visigoths and Ostrogoths were actually rather cheerful, at least that's what I got from any thing I've ever read/seen of them. I mean they were rather barbarian and such, but cheerful, happy, colourful barbarians lol. I think Chris could have fit in... if he tried hard enough...

very true meghan...gothic art or architecture is actually very beautiful too. it's more the goth trend where everyone tries to express their deep emotions by being like everyone else that needs to die. but, I, in fact, love traditional gothic stuff (cathedrals, painting...e.t.c), not so fond of the new wave of goth. they should pick a new name. it is totally degrading to its forefathers

Nah... they're pretty normal I think. But I like them best when they're attached to arms wrapped around me giving me hugs! I love Chris hugs!

Actually we were mocking the recent threads involving Chris' beard, shoe size, and hair. Although I'm with Red Zep as I really hadn't noticed just how sexy his left nostril is with that curly nose hair. Thanks so much for pointing that out to me. Giggles and runs away.
