Hi there people, I just wanted to get on here and say I jus started listening to NC a few days ago, and my God are they incredible, I wish I would have heard of them when they first came out with an album. But then again I have always listened to Heavy Metal/ Rock and Rap, but the other night I was at my parents house paying them a visit, laying on the couch skipping through channels, half asleep, and then I hit some local station (I jus recently moved to North Carolina) and there was a Nickel Creek show from back in like '95 I think in KY... and I couldn't believe what I was hearing... they were just incredible, especially for thier age. I was in awe of the playing ablility, Sarah's voice sounded like an angel coming from the TV set, and Chris can sing his butt off too. I went out and bought the CD the next day, it was kinda funny, cause the show I saw... Chris had a big ol' floppy mop hairdo blowin in the wind, Sean had a surfers bowlcut, and Sarah wasn't wearing a stitch of makeup ;) and I think it was the Watkins dad bangin out bass for em. They've obviously changed a bit since then hehe(my heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw an updated Sarah!). I think I speak for any fan of NC when I say that they hit us pretty deep with thier lyrics and melodies and I wish them all the success they can handle, for they are true musicians. And for them to grab me like they did, and almost completely change my taste in music in one night, is pretty incredible. I'm just sad to see that it doesn't look like they will be hittin North Carolina on thier tour, but I completely intend on driving out to make the Virginia concert in October, and in the meantime I'll be telling anyone I know with good taste in music about NC, and be wearing out my CD. Thanks for listening, and thanks to NC for being.
