So...with all the talk of Nickel Creeks' cover of toxic, I wanted to share Tristan Prettyman, a cool sorta folky guitar playing singer-songwriter with you guys. Well, the point of this post is that she also does a cover of toxic and I just thought I would share since she and Nickel Creek now share the spot for favorite cover (besides Matt Nathanson's Starfish and Coffee) because she made it her own. She's on archive.org too: here (http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?cat=Tristan%20Prettyman)

Tristan Prettyman - Toxic (VBR MP3) (http://audio10.archive.org/2/audio/tprettyman2004-09-18.at831.shnf/tprettyman2004-09-18d1t14_vbr.mp3)

Also, if you have the divx codec you can watch some vids at unclecrispy.com (http://www.unclecrispy.com/media.php?cat=TristanPrettyman&sub=01.30.05)

hopefully this is in the right spot...

Eh thats rather... terrible. She proves the song is just better when it is upbeat. And what were those wicked chords she was using? It was all lows and no highs and didn't really sound well with the vocals. Basically what I'm trying to say is I didn't like it at all.
