First time here and I am loving that I stumbled across this forum for Nickel Creek freaks.

Also, on another note, I read that Nickel Creek has allowed taping at their shows in the past...I USED to be into trading live shows of bands a great deal and was wondering if any of you freaks happen to know any tapers who have some quality live digital recordings available to trade?

I've got one show from 4-20-2002. Pretty good recording. Great set. I owe a couple people some copies, and if you're out there folks, I'm back from vacation and I'll send it off soon...promise. Anyway, I also have 3 discs of a Thile and David Grier show and it's AWESOME!!! If you want to trade, email or PM me or whatever.

OMG Thank you so much for sharing those pics! I was at every Nickel Creek concert at Merlefest 2002 and those pics helped me to remember them perfectly! I loved the pics of Chris after the show he did with Mike Marshall with that little girl....it was so cute when he let her play his mandolin...and it was awesome that she could actually play it! I had forgotten all about that until I saw that pic! Thanks again!MERLEFEST ROCKS!!!!

As of this point, the band still is OK with taping, and indications are that they will probably continue to allow taping with certain restrictions on distribution and trading.

The last I spoke to their manager about it (a week ago), the taping policy is fairly high on his priority list right now... I know there's at least one draft floating around his office at the moment... and a final policy is supposed to be available before the fall tour starts.

Once we get official word on what is and is not OK, we will probably (provided that NC is OK with it) add a forum here for music trading.

WOW those pics were great i really have a thing for black and white photos!! is there any way i could talk ya into lettin me be reprints of them?? LOL but i am gonna add those to my nickel creek site and i will give you full credit for thepics!!

hey, guys -
if anyone has a copy of the Lancaster show from 6/3/02, i would love to have it!! we saw one person taping it (they had a microphone in the air), and if that was you, please reply!!!!
i have one live show i can trade - thanks to mandobob - and he is right, it is an AWESOME live show!!! i listen to it so much that i have every note, every bit of crowd noise and every lyric memorized!
