Oh wow, such a hard question. I love so many of their songs... I know this isn't a Nickel Creek song, but the song that I've been playing most lately is, Let It Fall by Sean.... ::sighs:: I love it. =o)

OMG! I was just going to post this same question. Even though it's hard to come up with an answer. If I had to pick just one I'd say The Lighthouse's Tale. But I also love When You Come Back Down, Ode to A Butterfly, and Robin and Marian. Ok, I LOVE THE WHOLE ALBUM:D . I've played the cd so many times I'm surprised it still works.

my top fav that i listen to 24/7 right now is... let it fall, windmills, this side, and chicago. i love the songs sean sings. i also like nickel creek's version of colin blunstone's say you don't mind MAN DOES CHRIS HIT SOME HIGH NOTES!!! and i like their version of trouble sara hits some high notes there too! but after a while i get sick of listening to the same songs 40 times a day so then i switch to a new one. i've been listening to clear the tracks and golden pond a lot lately too.

My favorite changes weekly, usually between Out of the Woods, Lighthouses tale, and (if it counts) Let it Fall. I think the only 2 songs on the album that never have been a favorite of mine are Ode to a Butterfly and Sweet Afton. But I like the whole album too [noise]

That's a tough choice b/c I love the whole cd. But I would definitely have to say Sweet Afton...even though no one else may agree with me. There's just something so pure and breath-taking about Chris' voice and those great high notes he hits. I love tenors and this is the epitomy of all that is good and holy about the tenor voice! Second favorites would have to be Reasons Why, The Fox, and the Hand Song b/c of its great message.

You're not alone Tottenham....Sweet Afton used to be my absolute favorite song on the whole album.

Now, after seeing it live so many times, my favorite would have to be The Fox.

After that comes The Lighthouse's Tale, WYCBD, and Reasons Why, You Don't Have To Move That Mountain, and Starfish, but not in any order.

Then, it's Ode To A Butterfly and Tom Bom.

After that, I love them all the same...but I can truly say that there has never been a Nickel Creek song that I don't absolutely love!

I was really dissappointed that NC didn't sing Sweet Afton at the concert I went to in April...they sang mostly stuff off the new album, which of course I had never heard before. It was good but I really wanted to hear the stuff I knew, especially Sweet Afton! Have they sang it at any of their recent concerts?

No! I have noticed that too....I have been to six different NC concerts and have never once heard Sweet Afton!

Of course the hardest thing is picking a favorite, and it changes from time to time, but right now it's probably Sweet Afton. I've been reading a lot of Tolkein lately, and this one sounds like it came right out of Middle Earth-- otherwordly, untouched, and a little sad.

My favorite is reason's Why
They played Sweet Afton when I saw them in APril because Chris made a joke about how he didn't know the girl was dead (me either)

HELLO ALL,
i am new to the fan club, but i have been a fan for about a year now. i'd have to say that my favorite song is when you come back down.
the harmonies and lyrics of the song have moved me moreso than any song in a while. [noise]

My favorite NC songs with words would without a doubt have to be When you come back down and The Lighthouse's Tale. I go to karaoke all the time and found those two songs on a couple of karaoke discs, so I sing them every chance I get. As much as I love Chris's vioce, I love singing them with only my vocals, I like to think i'm singing with the band. For my Favorite song with out words, well that's alot harder. If I had to pick two it would have to be House of Tom... and Club G.R.O.S.S. from Chris' latest, I love the sax and madolin mix.
