Just got home from the SLO show. oh. my. gawd. completely insane setlist - couldnt even attempt to explain. Instead of cripple creek in the middle of foxnhund they did The Weight - which was one helluva inside joke for those of us who have seen them close down the show with the medley before. beautiful rendition. Beatles, Cry baby Cry was awesome. A cover of Randy Newmans Short People complete with Sarah in stocking feet and Chris crouching down to sing with Sean - LOL - LOL. truly unbelievable version of Lighthouse as usual. the crowd was silent during the songs. it was all reserved seating but there was a large space between the stage and the seats and about halfway thru the set, Sarah demands that everybody fill in the floor at the front - so cool. it was a very ecelectic crowd of mostly families with kids - little kids ! very few young people - so a very different feel from a lot of the times i have seen them.

If anybody taped this and is going to make it available - please, please, please. I asked the sound guy and he said it did get taped but only for internal usage. but im still hoping. the sound was incredible and it looks like they got the light show working in sync now compared to earlier shows of the tour.

Will get to see them on Sat at the Wiltern in LA too which should be a real treat[run]

What time would you recommend for me to get there? I am on the floor, and I want to be in front.

the tickets i have says the show starts at 8pm - so - - - - - - probably the doors open at 7 or 7:30 - you might call the wiltern and double check but i guess i'd get there an hour earlier if i were going to stand in the pit. Being somewhat...older... i am enjoying these two shows (SLO and LA) from a seat and so i will get there just before 8. Andrew Bird is a very interesting bird to be sure and makes for a good warmup !
