Hey, all,
First, my sincere apologies for the lengthy downtime.
Long story short, one of the ISPs that provided bandwidth and server space for some of the servers Choiceweb uses simply disappeared (along with our servers) so the current versions of the database containing the messages, as well as the most current version of the nickelcreek.info website are also among the missing, along with the most recent backups.
Fortunately, we had the monthly off-site backup of the message database stored in a different place... but we then had to rebuild the message board itself, and reconnect the database to the message board.
The bad news is that messages between 1/12/06 and 3/1/06, when the site went down, are most likely gone for good. The good news is the message board, with all the history prior to then, is back up and running.
There are still some (hopefully minor) problems related to software version mismatch and a few missing graphics here and there, so you'll see errant WARNING: FILE SO-AND-SO IS BUSTED... sort of messages at the top of the screen, which Matt and I will be working on in the next few days, but at least things are back up and running once again. And the server that nickelcreek.info now lives on is within spittin' distance of where I live, and I know and trust the people who own the building where it and our other servers are... so I don't expect any future problems.
Thanks much for ypur patience during the downtime!
Regards,
Chip
