Hi,

I guess I should be the one to answer your question since I'm the one that made Sara's 5-string. One just like hers goes for $4,500.00 and takes me 5 or 6 weeks to complete. Her 4-string is an older, German-made factory fiddle. It's most likely about 100 years old and has no maker's label.

Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Martin

Hi again,

I guess I'm not quite sure what you mean by make or name. I put a label inside all the fiddles I make with my name (Martin Brunkalla) and the year it was made. My business is just called Brunkalla Violins (catchy, eh?). Sara's 5-string is modeled after a 1648 Nicolo Amati violin. I have only used 2 different models, the Amati, and a 1716 Stradivari. I hope this answers your question.

Happy Fiddlin',
Martin
