Is Villa Montalvo concert cancelled?

I got a cancellation notice from Ticketmaster the concert of Sept. 15, 2002 at Villa Montalvo (Calif.) was cancelled.

It is correct?

Any idea why.

I hope not! I bought my tickets like 3 months ago! ... but i'll check ticketmaster and see what's going on. I mean, they're playing in Chico just days before, and it's relatively close.

I got confirmation today from the webmaster of nickelcreek.com that the Montalvo date is definitely cancelled.

No details, but I'm guessing that it probably conflicted with some other string of dates the booking people are working on. (I think the Montalvo date was booked before they were even sure that the new album would be ready for release this summer.) However, rumor is that California dates will definitely be on the fall calendar, but we'll know more when the booking agency starts announcing the fall dates.

The date actually appeared and disappeared from the nickelcreek.com calendar quite some time ago, so apparently somebody at Villa Montalvo neglected to notify Ticketmaster or something.

darn [sob] i had some pretty good tickets for that show! now i'll have to go to the local ticketmaster to return them... it'll be the first time i'll ever have to do this! i wish they would somehow honor those tickets if they did a reschedule or something.
