When I read that Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard were going to be performing together 5 miles away from my house, I shat myself. Twice.

So this Monday, i'm 20 feet away from THE Bob Dylan, and you know what I'm thinking? |He's no Nickel Creek, but I guess it was worth 50 bucks.| I later retracted the statement that it was worth 50 bucks.

He seemed like a broken man. He didn't stand up the whole time. He sat in front of his keyboard playing sort of along with his songs. Speaking of the songs, with the exception of Maggie's Farm I, a hardcore Dylan fan, had trouble distinguishing one song from the next, as his voice was so grumbly.

The next day, headlines in the local section of the paper read |Dylan less than thrillin' in Tucson gig| . And again, i think, It was no Nickel Creek...

Thanks for reading :)

After reading that lovely little story, I'm confused as to what you really think about the concert. Can we break it down... Was it fun?

I saw Dylan about 2 years ago here in Milwaukee and he also was less than thrilling. He stood at his keyboard almost the entire time and just didn't seem that into it. I agree as I had trouble picking out which song was which too. I had seen him a couple of years earlier with Paul Simon and that show was much better. I think he's now just coasting on his reputation when he plays live because he has a ton of hardcore fans who will come out to see him no matter what he does.

I'm sorry that I wasn't very clear :)

It was nice seeing Bob Dylan in person, but I felt that it wasn't worth the money. After watching videos of him in his 20's, 30's, and 40's, I expected him to have a little... charisma I guess you could say. Also, I expected him to play at least one acoustic guitar/harmonica song like the old days.

I'm 16 by the way :)

I agree with e-rock2 completely in the fact that he's just coasting on his reputation.
