there is a song that NC has been doing at their live shows and i'm not sure if one of them wrote it or if it is someone else's. chris sings lead and the chorus goes something like oh, oh, oh, i've done my time... who wrote this song?!

That's a Glen Philipps song...I believe it's called Herion Shores but i'm not sure. It'll be on the Glen/NC duo album.

Isn't that one La Lune, originally written by Woodburning Project (a now-defunct band that were friends of Glen and the rest of Toad from Santa Barbara), or am I thinking of a different song?

yeah it's la lune, a wonderfully depressing song ;) if you have the dulcinea album by toad, you'll notice that they have song called woodburning project, named so because it sounded so much like a song from that band :)

Don't be embarrassed... particularly when songs change names as NC songs sometimes do, it's easy to get confused... as in This Side or The Matrix Song.... The Great Illusion or Seven Wonders... Heroin Shores or La Lune (who would have guessed La Lune in a million years? Not I!)

yeah, don't be embarassed or worry about it! i used to think for the longest time that the song was called the loon. its just great that we all talk about so many of these unreleased songs!
