it's an instrumental nc has been opening up shows with. the live shows i have with this song on it are merlefest 2002, some show they did at variety playhouse in atlanta ga and some other show. if anyone knows PLEASE TELL ME.

If you're thinking of the one that they opened with on the Merlefest concert that was on Friday on the Hillside stage, then it was Big Sam Thompson. It's a song that starts out pretty slow and then speeds up a little towards the middle of it. If that's the one you're thinking of, then you can find it on Chris's solo album, Not All Who Wander Are Lost. Hope that helped!

nope it's not big sam it's a song that ain't on an album. i think it was done either cabin stage or watson stage something like that.

the two shows that I've seen this spring/summer they opened up with Road to Wrigley or at least I'm told that's what it's called. If you got a listen to the 4-20-2002 show, it's the first track.

yep that's where i first heard the song mandobob is from your show. i have like 3 other recordings of it that are more clear.

as far as i know i don't think that song has a name yet. when i saw them in april they called it the show opener or something like that and the last 2 times i saw them they didn't say anything about it. it's a great song and i love it so i just call it the first song ha ha!!

yeah the song is about 3 minutes and on the shows i have of it they don't do back announcing like they usually do.
