I love Star Wars and I love Chris Thile so all the songs that he's written that have been inspired by Star Wars I love also. I can't talk much about the technical side of hte songs, but when i listen to them i can see Star Wars in my head. My favorite Chris-Star Wars song is A Night in Mos Eisley. I think George Lucas should use his songs in the next movies! Put Nickel Creek in Star Wars instead of NSYNC.

...... yea the beauty of the original star wars was it didn't use big pop culture icons- it use dynamic, not so well know actors- and an awsome composer. [wll John is still there] ....... i really hope episode 2 is leaps above #1-

Hey all
aim your browser at www.co-mando.com or to www.mandolincafe.com and check out the tab archives. Good thile transcriptions there (including the full version of Caprice #1/When Mandolins Dream for the truly insane mandolinist).

Where does Caprice #1/When Mandolins Dream come from. I thought I had all the recording chris has done. Is this on CD with a different person or group, or is it something he has preformed live?

He has performed it live on many occaisons, but the version I learned and tabbed is from his Mandolin Essentials teqnique video from Homespun tapes. He also has a VERY good version of Raining at Sunset on there, if you don't have, get it. Even if you're not a mandolin player, its fun to watch his fingers move!
