Does any one know if when the new NC CD comes out if it will be availible at Wal-mart or Target? I remember when I was looking for the first NC CD it wasn't out in targets or walmarts yet and had to get it at Borders book store. Hopefully since they started carrying their first CD they will have the new one as soon as it comes out. I know that tuesday it come out and all week after that I am going to be extremly busy and know I wont have time to run to a CD store or Bookstore to pick it up and I want to get it as soon as it comes out so I know the only way I can get it within a few days after it comes out is if it is availiable at walmart or target. So does anyone know?

If you're looking for it immediately, you'll be better off to go to a chain music store or a good independent music store.

Stores like Wal-Mart and Target generally get supplied through their own central distribution, which means that the record distributor ships to Wal Mart corporate, who, in turn, ships to its stores. As a result, it usually takes an extra few days for the product to get into those stores.

Being the sort that likes to support small business, I'd put in a plug for going to your local independent record store sometime soon and placing an advance order with them. That way, they should be able to have it either the day it's released or within a couple days thereafter... and who knows, maybe they'll order a couple extra copies and help spread the word!

If none of the above work, Amazon or CDNow should be able to ship on release date, and both have several virtual warehouses that should be able to get product to you within 3-4 days of release.

if you preordered it you will usually get it the day after, or the actual day of the release, and even sometimes you might get it early!! so it really depends!!

Hey, just so every one knows, I was at walmart the other day and had This Side on their list of the CD's they will have on the day it comes out, so Wal-Mart will have it! I am glad because I don't have a credit card to order it over the internet and the nearest Barnes and Noble or Borders which I think would have had it any way are 30 minutes away, but there is a Wal-mart not to far from me so I will be there early when it comes out in less than a week!

That's good! Walmart is 15 minutes away from me and Borders is about 50 minutes.

I know a lot of folks live in areas where there aren't choices of where to buy music except Wal-Mart... but a quick public service announcement for those who do.

Please, if you have the choice, support your local independent music dealer or, heck, an outlet like Borders or Tower Records. Wal-Mart is legendary for their attempts to exert control on the music industry... forcing record companies to release 'clean' versions of albums, or to engage in self-censorship so as not to frighten the good folks in Bentonville, Ark.

Ok, pleading over. :) To keep this on target (no pun intended), I bought from Amazon.com and am LOVING the WMA streaming audio! The sound quality is very good for Webcasting. Now if the CD could just get here so I can copy the album to my iPod!

Maybe it's just because I've never lived anywhere but New England, but do people seriously have to go to WalMart to get CD's?! That sucks. I live in the suburbs, and I've got at least 15 CD stores within 1/2 hour from me, ranging from Tower to a local chain that is simply awesome called Newbury Comics (you can get anything there). I never understood why it was such a big deal to an artist when Wal Mart won't carry their CD. Now I guess I do

Yeah our WalMart had it for $12 and the SamGoody next to it had it for $17.

I agree that we should all support stores other than Wal Mart. They suck.
