Nickel Creek Private Party 5/27/06

Hey everyone. My name is Doug Kaplan and I attended a party in which my band opened for Nickel Creek at the Park West in Chicago. They put on quite a show, I was absolutely amazed. I am a huge fan of Phish and I know that the fans in my community would want to know the setlist of any sort of event so I'll give you the setlist that I stole from the stage.

I also remember them playing Randy Newman's Short People, Radiohead's Nice Dream and Britney Spear's Toxic.

I attended their soundcheck and they were all just lying down on stage, which struck me to be really cute (that isn't the right word but it's the only one that I can think of). They seemed to be in the middle of writing a song too when they were playing during soundcheck in the key of G with a hook that went like you call me, why do you call me... I call you, why do I call you.

Afterwards I met them all and they all seemed to be very nice people.

I thought that you all would like to know that.

To clarify... this was one of my friend's father's 50th birthday party. I went and looked at another thread and saw that you guys were aware of this show already.
