Hey there! I'm new to the boards...and I just found out that the How to Grow a Band is going to be playing @ the Ark in Ann Arbor, MI in October. I told myself if they came anywhere near me, I'd have to go...I'm looking for anyone else in the Metro Detroit area who's going. I'll go by myself if I have to, just wanted to see if anyone here was going to be there!

My girlfriend and I will be attending. I already got presale tickets. It should be a great show. :D

My husband and I will be there. We recently moved to the state and have never been to The Ark. Can anyone tell me what it's like, what to expect. Thanks

The Ark provides a great environment for live music. The acoustics are very good, and the intimacy of the club encourages performers to really engage the audience. The Ark generally attracts audience members who are very enthusiastic about the music and respectful of the performers (and of other people attending the show) -- hopefully this will be the case for Chris's upcoming performance. Most of the seating is general admission, but the club does have a few rows of reserved seats in the center section. I'd anticipate that people will start lining up early (at least half an hour or so before the doors open) to claim good seats in the general admission areas. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to review The Ark's site yet (it's very informative): http://www.theark.org/
BTW, Bryan Sutton will be taking Chris Eldridge's place in the How to Grow a Band group for The Ark performance.
