Was anyone else there? It was an amazing show, and they played Lighthouse Tale because they really liked us . I stayed afterwards to get autographs and pictures. I got to meet all of them, and they are some of the most down to earth people I have met. I talked to Sean Watkins the longest about Blinders On which is one of my favorite albums...now if only it was on vinyl. Anyways, here are the pictures.

Hi...nice pictures...I was right behind you when your picture was being taken with Sean. What a Great Show. It was great meeting the band after the show. They were all very nice and fun to meet and talk to! What an AMAZING BAND! They write well, they sing well and they play well! Awesome Harmonies!!! And I love how from time to time they go off on some great jams as well!! They are sooo talented it's almost Scary! I Love all 3 of their CD's...but my favorite is definitely their last one, Why Should The Fire Die . I hope they come to New Jersey next year if they can to play a gig in my home state.

Your the guy on the phone? Haha! Yes, they are amazing! Have you ever seen them before? I saw them at Messiah College last May and that was amazing...it was a really loud crowd and it was just so much fun alot of dancing, clapping, and singing! This one was great too, they did alot more improv and I LOVE that.

Yes....I've seen them once before...in fact it was the Messiah show you speak of. That was a long drive...2 hours and 45 minutes each way....but it was worth it. The Lehigh show was only an hour and 5 minute drive for me this time., which was great for me. I agree with you, the Messiah show was much more louder. The Lehigh show seemed Subdued a bit compared to that one. But still, I enjoyed the Lehigh show more because I had a 6th row center seat for it. Hopefully, if they do some shows in 2007 they will come to New Jersey and that would be great for me. I know they are playing Austin City Limits this weekend. I hope they get on to the Austin City Limits TV show. ..that would be great to see them on that show because it's a well produced show and I'm sure they would go over very well on it.

They were on Austin City Limits after the release of the Nickel Creek CD and then again after the This Side CD.

Yeah, It about an hour and a half drive for me. I live close to Philly. I'd see them in Jersey it's not that far. Sixth row is amazing! At Messiah I pushed myself up to the first row hehe! I was right in front of Sara directly it was funny cause every time I had my camera out she would like pose for me! I wish I had been as close at Lehigh cause it was a great show. But I was happy to be in the back cause I could yell louder and not be obnoxious. I'm hoping to see Chris maybe in NYC if he doesn't come around Philly solo. We'll see.

When they did Taxman on the show...is that Taxman by The Beatles off of their Revolver album.? If so it must have been a really cool cover version.

That is so cool that you got up in the front row right in front of Sara. That's awesome!! Since that night was the far ride for me [2 & 3/4 hours each way] to get their my friend and I saw everybody on the floor in front of us when we entered the auditorium waiting to see the Ditty Bops 1st....so we decided to sit in the seats in the back of where everyone was standing. We sat 3 rows back and chilled knowing we had a long ride home that night in the rain.

They covered it quite often in the 2002-2004 tiimeframe. It was played all the time during the Mutual Admiration Society tour (with Glen Phillips, Pete Thomas on drums, John Paul Jones on electric bass) and there are a number of versions available at LMA.

Jeff, thanks a bunch for the Taxman[s]. Cool Versions. Do you have any recordings of them doing Eveline Live? It's 1 of my favorite NCreek tunes and the 2 times I saw them they didn't play. After the Lehigh show I asked Sara about it and she said they do play it live...but not very often due to the vocal parts being a little tought and tricky. A lady standing next to me said she saw them do it in Philladelphia and that it was amazing.
Thanks

The only time I saw them play Eveline was last July in Nashville. They played the entire WSTFD CD in order before it was released as part of a tour to promote the CD to radio stations that was often a by invitation only seating arrangement. At the Nashville show, you could wait in line the day of the show to get in. I haven't heard or seen any set lists with it on there since. I believe they played it a few times back in late '03 or early '04 in perhaps a slightly different version too.
