Sean is still such a great guy. The other night in Dallas, a homeless man drew Sean's picture without him knowing and Sean gave him a donation for it. I'm sure that he gets asked for money in every major city that they play (as everyone does) but I still thought that it was a kind thing for him to do.

No, I did not see the picture, but usually those guys have talent. The last time I was in Dallas, I saw a crew member slam a door in a mans face. Sean sets a very good example.

First off, dirty_sandals: You need to be more cautious the next time you’re in Deep Ellum man! Sorry for being so blunt, but I needed to get that out first. To everyone else, for a better understanding of the surroundings see the picture I took before the show. I know it doesn’t give a sense of distance but it shows their bus and equipment trailer still attached to the rear.
I had a similar encounter with ‘drawing man’ that night but the timing of it all had me on alert for a few minutes: He was drawing Sara while we were talking outside the bus (see the closest person in the picture? that’s where this happened). This was around 1:15-1:30 AM. He just walked up and started drawing . . . on a dark sidewalk, in the shadow of an even darker freeway way overpass, in downtown Dallas, etc.
I glanced down the sidewalk and it got worse: No bouncers anywhere. In the past I’ve actually felt safe outside the club; they have no tolerance for panhandlers. Not sure how long they were gone, but I know it took too long for them to get back. 10 minutes, during which 4 people (clearly not homeless!) hassle the people for money. (The front doors were propped open and bouncer-less as well). Her band mates are inside the bus with friends. Her road crew is still going in and out of the club, but most of that action is down on the trailer end. The clusters of fans around her in all are about 20 and are ignoring the guy, but they’re not watching him (as they pretend to ignore him). What scared me the most was his stance and where he was in relation to not just Sara, but two other women of the group.
Notice how he targeted only the people signing the autographs? He knows the locals won’t give him anything. If Sean doesn’t give him something, he looks like the bad guy in front of fans! It was a trap. It's not Sean's fault, I would have paid the guy too if it were me.
