I just saw the band last night (I think it was their third or fourth show on the tour so far) and let me tell you...it was AWESOME. Oh, man. The music was just SO good to hear live! And their chemistry was great to watch; the way they bantered and giggled was just so cool to see (I heard more bantering last night than all my Nickel Creek shows combined). They just looked like they were having a blast the whole time. Chris also kept making these funny ''Magic Flying Bunny'' jokes (referring to the bunny that's on his ''official logo'')..and at the end most of them came out to sign autographs by the merch table. There are two kinds of shirts, cd's, and patches. I got a blue shirt for, like, $20.

Here's a set list..I can't remember the exact order, but I think I remember all the songs..

-Watch'at Breakdown
-Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground
-Stay Away
-11th Reel
-Wayside
-Some song (Critter played one of his..I forgot what it's called)
-You're An Angel and I'm Gonna Cry
-Song for a Yung Queen
-A reallllly long 1st movement to a song they're still writing for the Tensions Mountain Boys

(15 minute break)

-If the Sea Was Whiskey
-Ophelia
-This Is All Real
-Cazadero
-The Beekeeper
-How to Grow a Woman from the Ground
-Heart in a Cage
-Manchicken (one of Pickle's songs)
-Brakeman's Blues

(Encore)

Raining At Sunset

If they ever come anywhere near you, go see them!! It's a great show :)

Chris had Ophelia on his myspace for a little while but he took it off when the album came out... :(

looking forward to seeing them in Feb. in Tacoma. Mike Marshall will also be there playing with Hamilton De Holanda. I really hope they all play together at some point. If you haven't heard Hollanda yet, he and Mike just released an album together. I'd say that they are the three best mandolin players on the planet.

I believe the album is called New Words .

They played London the other night. I was so bummed I missed it as I was in hospital. I told my friends about it hoping he would go to the show and tell me about it, but he ended up forgetting. What a douche.

Yeah, I was SO stoked to hear Ophelia because I hadn't heard it in sooo long. He needs to put it back up!! Grr I just wish that I'd thought to bring a video camera. Then all the songs could be on Youtube. And the world would be a happier place.

I'll play one with ye! although, i have no clue how to play them. all i know is that you blow into a big spike and then this loud noise comes from the abyss. sounds crazy.
