calamityjane Another idea would be to read the faq (frequently asked questions). Actually, it would be nice if we all read or re-read these....since many posters on this board (including me at times) do not follow rules and regs. They over post, double post, go off-topic too often and generally waste space. Of course, they're having fun and not hurting anyone....so they are tolerated. Barely.

i'm with mel on this one!!! we tend to stay here a lot and just talk to everyone.

the double posts are a pain in the rear, but i believe that alot of the times the double posts happen by accident, sometimes the boards are slow and if ya press the post button twice it does that.

but what can i say i love these boards!!

nitejul ....double posting is not when you accidently punch the send button twice...it's when you send a message. And then you send another one right after that one. And then...you think of a third thing to say and you send another one.... It's considered board etiquette to put all your thoughts into one post.
And even more etiquette to post only what really needs to be posted, is on-topc and generally of interest to everyone.

I play on two other fan-based boards (not NC or music) and you would not believe how strict they are! The first time someone double posts, three other posters will scold. The second time you do it, the moderator steps in and scolds. The third time...you're out! Account closed.

You're allowed some buddy list/chat room kind of back and forth banter....but not much. If you don't stay on the thread topic, the moderator will erase your post. I'm not saying this happens every single time or it's 100% always moderated this way....but most of the time.

You kids are very lucky that our moderators appreciate your enthusiasm and your youth and let you get away with so much. I would be tougher so be thankful I'm here and not there!

yeah i know what ya mean. if i do that i usually use the edit feature. to prevent that from happening!! and yeah i do agree. the mods here are really nice. i know that other boards are tougher i am on some of those other boards that are like that. i hate them sometimes b/c some of the people are soooo mean. thats why i like to be here, people are sooo nice!!

going back to the original content of this post- chip and i are the ones in charge here- but due to me being on tour- and chip being incredibly busy the site has kinda slowed down a bit in terms of updates and orginization- [great timeing with the new release] i will be back at normal schedules and home mid august- untill then-

listen to sugar hill holly and chip-
go vote on cmt every day if possible-
spread the word to your friends about the cd-
and you know etc...
