Its still "just nickel creek music"

I remember on the on the verge that CMT did with nickel creek a while back, alison krauss was asked about what genre nickel creek fit into, and she said it's just nickel creek music. Well, after hearing what I have from the new cd, I have to say that Nickel Creek is still in a class by themselves! we were all worried about them going mainstream or pop or whatever....but all I can say is NO WAY! They are still the most awesome thing in music today, and I'm so ashamed of myself for even thinking that they could be mainstream!!

I really agree with you too. I was extremly worried about the Pop/mainstream thing too. I couldn't really form my own opinion since my PC's speakers haven't worked in a few weeks so I have not been able to listen to the freebies of their new songs on the net, so essentially I had no idea what to expect and people where throwing the words pop and mainstream for the sound of Nickel Creeks new album and it scared me that they possibly sold out (which I wouldn't think they would do anyways). Then when Watching MWL on wednesday I didn't really pay much attention the video and listened to the song since it was the first time I had heard it, and I was just thinking why anyone would say it was pop music now, it is different than anything on their last CD, but it was still good, and I agree Its just Nickel Creek Music.
