The sad reality is that it's happening to many different artists' message boards. It's not just here. There is nothing we can do to stop it, but we try to catch it as fast as we can. Anyone can register a username with a valid email address. I know of one site where spammers literally hacked the system and turned it into a website for drugs(it's been well over a month and still is that way).

it is getting worse, if it continues past where the existing mods can catch it, I may have to install/ write a hack that makes us approve new users posts untill they are considered legit....

And for some reason they post the majority of the time in the 'Fan Stuff' section of our lovely site. They're ruining it for all of us...yes sireeee.....

You COULD be a mod, but there are others that deserve it too, like TG, RZ, ETC.... Enough abbreviations for ya? :D

I think i have spam under control with some new changes.. however.. the moderation of new users can only be done at the deepest system control, which only chip and I have the codes for.. if I can't keep up wiht new users and sorting them out from spammers... .I will have to find another hack..


to fully upgrade VBulletion it will take an entire weekend... [yuck]

It has been quite low the past few days...and i compliment you and e-rock for it.

Personally, I don't think we need very many moderators. You two are here everyday, and the other two drop by often as well...you have it under control.
