View Full Version : The Thile-Marshall Songbook

At the mandolin symposium this year there was the class called the Thile-Marshall Songbook class. It might just have been me but i was under the impression that there was going to be a book put out with their material in it. Of course I was also under the impression that chris would make a surprise appearance at this class seeing as he had a show that night approximately 10 minutes away. Does anyone know anything about this book?

Well, I was there too when Mike was talking about it. I was so excited to hear about the book too. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from Mike, Chris or anyone else about it since. I think there's still hope!

They are coming out with that book, release date not confirmed.....but Mel Bay is putting it out. I heard it straight from Mel Bay's customer service.

Mike said it was going to be Into the Cauldron. He gave me a copy of Harvest Time, Something Quite Trifiling, and What a Blast! Wooooo! Good stuff!

Someone started a petition to get more Thile songbooks...I suppose it's not a necessary now that the Into the Cauldron songbook is coming out.

i talked to mike the other day and asked him about it. he said it would be coming out sometime next year but mel bay really sucks when it comes to editing and it takes them forever. i believe we will get all the songs but only some of them will have the solos written out too.
