The video for Dead Leaves is now on cmt.com. There's a link to it on the main page.

I watched it, but I can't tell a lot about it. The color on my computer here at work isn't so good and the video just looks really dark. I'll have to watch again when I get home.

I am not impressed. It had some great shots of the band (which was the only thing I enjoyed about it).

It just seemed to me that there was no symbolism in the actual video. What does a rain soaked city have to do with Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground.

Just not creative enough for me.

I thought the idea was awesome, but just didn't work with the song.

And although I like Chris being happy, he just seemed so joyful when singing lines such as With no one to wrap my arms around

I dunno, they could have made it work better with a number of songs on the album, or even with a different background. It looks great as long as you aren't listening to the actual lyrics though I suppose lol

I agree. this just didn't float my boat. the video was, in truth, kind of boring!
and plus,
that song is so upbeat, and happy! and the video paired with it is very...well, not! maybe they did that on purpose, to have some contrast?
the video would've fit perfectly with the original song, though!

:-)) That was awsome. I personally loved it! The darkness and the little light on them was a neat an awsome effect.

I hope they will play it a lot but I doubt they will.

Same here, the indirect lighting adds a very nice effect. As does the the blending of the band with the city background. (NYC I assume).

Eh, mixed opinion here. I liked it as a video, but I really thought it was repetitive (it pretty much had the same effects going the entire time) and didn't relate to the song enough...in my humble opinion, of course..

Thanks to whoever put it on youtube and thanks Stark Schlecht for telling me (or us) about it because I tried to watch the video on CMT.com, VH1.com, and MTV.com and none of them would play it and I knew that I could count on youtube. Alright video.

Even though it's not what I had expected, I still thought it was very good.
