I know this probably sounds silly, but does anyone know exactly how to pronounce the name 'Thile'? It seems that every different person I ask pronounces it a different way, so I'm very confused! I've heard everything from just thile to THEE-lee to TILL-ee and everything in between! Anyone willing to shed some light on this situation?

His first solo album says it rhymes with really or wheelie , so THEE-Lee sounds about right

I've asked Chris. He said it's THEE-lee

Yeah I asked Sara. Seems to be a very common question, as I've never heard of anyone with that last name!

ach, so did I!! I was waiting outside to go to a concert of his and asked a group of folks about my age when they got into Chris Thile (pronouncing it as similar to 'Nile'). All of them were like who is that?
I felt pretty silly, haven't made that mistake since!
