NSM Segment

Well I thought that the NC segment on News Sunday Morning was awesome! I liked how they interviewed each of the band members seperately...I especially thought Chris was great. It was awesome how he was like These people know so much more about everything than me, except for this one little thing. I just thought that the segment was awesome!!!

I thought the segment on CBS Sunday Morning was great! I also like Chris' except one little thing comment. It shows that despite his amazing musical ability and success he has managed to keep it all in perspective, unlike many other young artists who believe that just because they have one hit record under their belt it makes them an authority on everything.

However, did anyone else notice a meet Chris Thile and his band Nickel Creek vibe in the piece? Oh well, I don't think Sara and especially Sean mind staying out of the limelight.

I won't repeat my message on the CBS Sunday Morning thread except to say...I liked it! Yes, I noticed the Chris Thile and his band comment....have heard and read that before. But...it's not Chris saying that, it is the media assuming that because he stands in the middle? because he is so lively and perky and outgoing? it's his band. I don't know. I really don't think it bothers Sara or Sean, I think they are very comfortable in their own skins. Cute little skins that they are!

Wow, I can't believe I was able to tape it! (I was asleep so I used my old VCR which I haven't tried setting in years)

Anyway, my copy wasn't entirely clear but if you want, I can probably set something up Sarah. just drop an email... As for the segment, it was really cool! And I also did get a vibe that it was a Chris and group show, they really spotlighted him... but that's ok.

[bang] I didn't know that was going to be on so I missed it! Sounds like it was a really cool interview. For anyone else who missed it too there is an article with quotes from the band that I believe was from that interview on their website. Check it out.

It was an awesome interview! I think (despite the whole :chris thile and those other two people that play with him too: theme) CBS really did a great job. And they didn't portray bluegrass fans as a bunch of toothless, shoeless hicks either, which is always good!

It was inevitable that s&s would be in the lime light simply b/c chris is like the 'lead' of the group so the public is going to pick him first. As long as we still know the truth it will be ok. lol
