so, all mandolin players around;
am I the only one that has extrememly difficulty tuning the A strings?

Is the problem that every stringed instrument has one faulty string (i.e., on guitar, I have trouble tuning the B)
or that I'm just faulty when it comes to tuning A strings? :]

I have a little bit of trouble keeping that particular string in tune, but it also could that I am too cheap and too lazy to buy new strings for it.

actually, in a lot of cases, it might be the instrument. but maybe not.

It's really not just you. The A strings are just the hardest to stay in tune on the mandolin. Depending on the instrument, they might be different levels of annoying but something about the way they're set up just makes them problematic.
