How much do I LOVE this song?!! I liked it when I heard that clip of it on Sugar Hill's website, but when I listened to it this morning I was just in awe. I loved their last album but I definitely appreciate the experiences they have had since recording it. I remember during their On the Verge Alison saying that they didn't put any love songs on their last album because they said they didn't know anything about it. I don't know about Sean and Sara but you can definitely tell Chris's relationship with his fiance has inspired him. Two of my favorite songs on the album (well aren't the all my favorites? lol) are Hanging By a Thread and Green and Gray. And is it just me, or does the last little madolin-tinkly part remind you of a music box? Like a really sad one? Okay I've delved a little deep there. Ahh good music!! :D [noise]

Oh Amy, you've made me pine even more! Only eight more days to wait!

We didn't latch on to the CMT song a day offer until it was too late to pre-hear many of the cuts on This Side, so we've only heard two or three, including the title song on video. Have you seen the video? I think it's well done, lots of fun and sure to be a hit. We're already voting for it on CMT and I guess it's on heavy rotation.

I wonder if they'll make any other videos from This Side?

Double posting *whips back with reeds* because we just realized we weren't looking at the CMT listen-to-a-track correctly and actually have not missed most of the tracks. Amazing how much better CMT's offering is compared to Sugarhill's....those clips weren't worth the trouble. Does CMT offer this pre-listening to all or many new cds? Sure would help decide if we wanted to part with our money.... Not for NC, but for lesser known and loved groups. Sometimes we buy a cd for a single we love, only to find most of the rest of the cd is the pits.

Jacey, stops rambling and leaves.

LOL! No you haven't missed most of them! That's the only way I've heard stuff-oh and you can also go to VH1.com and download thirty-second intervals of each songs (and they are different than the ones on Sugar Hill). But I haven't been able to get my stoopid computer to play Hanging by a thread for several hours[sob] . You know I DONT think This Side will do that well on CMT. But then again I don't think it's meant to. As soon as I saw it I thought it looked much more VH1. And it certainly isn't the most country sounding song on the album. Mayhaps they picked that one as their lead single to kinda switch up which outlets carry their stuff. Or maybe I just think about this too much!:)

Yeah, I love Hanging by a Thread, too. I think letting CMT offer a track a day really shows how proud NC is of their new album...I mean, if I had been able to hear the whole album of most of the CDs I have before I bought them, then I wouldn't have bought most of the CDs in my collection! But NC isn't afraid to let people hear everything, because they know it's awesome!

I really really love this song too but my computer is having network problems or something so I haven't gotten to listen to the whole thing! I am getting so mad at it. I hope that I will get ti working before it is too late. :(

Ugh! I haven't been able to listen to any of the computer preview things but my friend has, and he told me that Hanging by a Thread is the same song as the Hanging by a Thread that Wayne Kirkpatrick did. If indeed it is, I will totally love it! I love Wayne's version and I have always thought that Chris would do a great job singing it.[noise]

Actually Matt it's not-it's written by Gordon Kennedy and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Can you tell I just got my cd in the mail?!!
