Did he just photoshop the legs, or take an all new picture?

it looks as if he did photoshop them, the legs are mirror imaged so that the bigger bend is on the opposite side, still the sam ones tho

No, they aren't the same, there's more of a space between the ones on HtGaW not to mention the feet are in different positions

Can we agree to disagree?
On one hand, the legs could be photoshopped and spaces could be cut out or filled in to alter the same pair of legs. On the other hand, there are millions of caucasian women with nice legs... they could have gotten someone else to recreate it.
Plus, everyone knows they're my legs, so stop fighting and hand me the Nair.

Okay, I have no knowledge of the inspiration behind HtGaWftG's album artwork; it's entirely possible that it did come from the Augustana record. However, it is possible for two different artists to create two similar yet separately conceived pieces. In fact it happens all the time.

Yes, but they are VERY similar. Although anything's a possibility because Chris didn't say anything about the cover in a press release.

It's probably just a major coincidance besides it doesn't really matter. He didn't make the album artwork and plus the album's name is How to Grow a Woman From the Ground and that is exactly what the cover is showing. A woman growing from the ground.

I don't have the album in front on me right now...but I'm 99% sure the album artwork was credited to a female Witcher. I figured either a sister/wife of Gabe. Now what she used as inspiration you would have to ask her. :)
As far as the covers I think they are solid as most of them sound completely different from the originals. So covers yes, but with Mr. Thile's personal touch.

Chris's latest album's artwork was created by Loren Witcher, brother of Gabe Witcher. Loren has also designed some or all of Nickel Creek's newest tour shirts.
