Is anyone else pretty ripped at Ticketmaster for getting their seat reasigned for the show in August at Pier Six Pavillion?

I purchased tickets the day that they went on sale, was all stoked because I got 3rd Row in the 1st Section. (It's their last show for a while, you would have too)
Not 1, not 2, but almost 3 weeks later, I get a voicemail from Ticketmaster. So I call them back and they explain to me that they sold tickets for an entire section that they shouldn't have.
In other words, Ticketmaster is given a certain number of tickets that they can sell. Apparently the ones they sold to me, they never had the authority to. So, instead of telling me immediately or even within a week's time, they tell me 3 weeks later when all of the great seats have already been sold.... grrrr.........

As long as I can, for any future concert, I will buy directly from the venue or the artist. Ticketmaster will not get any more of my money as long as I can help it!!

Is there anyone else out there that had the same thing happen to them?

I feel your pain. I too made the unfortunate decision to buy through Ticketmaster (I now know that TM is only allocated a few sections of rear seats to sell).

I was the first one through and was tickled silly to see that I had 4 front row center tickets to the Balt. show. Ticketmaster left me a message about 3 days later (not three weeks), though it was still late enough that all of the front sections had been sold out already. All Ticketmaster could offer me was four seats in the front row of an area that was one section back and two sections over (against the side wall in partially obstructed seats).

TM is quite the big machine, selling tickets that they didn't have, cancelling back out of them, not really caring very much that a bunch of people were screwed. I have asked them for front row center tickets to a future concert of my choice, but they have stopped responding to my emails.

I ended up finding good seats to the Baltimore show though, and will be going the following night in Richmond as well (I live in DC)

Should be great !!!!!!!!

See all of you Baltimore fans on the 2nd - less than 3 weeks away, yay !!!

I ended up in the front row, section stage right.

The show was absolutely incredible. I am a Fiona fan, who went out an bought the latest NC when I heard about the tour. After a listen or two, I quickly bought the earlier two cd's and fell in love. What excellent songwriting, singing and musicians. Sad to hear they are taking a break as each cd surpassed the previous great effort.

Anyway, NC and Fiona are a great mix. NC did amazing sets, and then did excellent arrangements to back Fiona on her sets. Fast As You Can and Breakman's Blues were two of my highlights. The night was a big treat for me !!

Only thing disappointing was the crowd at the venue. People were up and down out of their seats and in the aisles at all times walking across the front. What ever happened to waiting for the end of a song or until intermission.

I saw them again tonight in Glen Allen. Again excellent, though I wish they would have mixed it up more from the night before. Chris did do Set Me Up With One of Your Friends which was a nice change of pace, and Sarah did her new song. But other than that, it was the same sets, in exactly the same order.

I got setlists from the stage both nights. I posted one earlier. Here is the other:

I know what you mean about rude fans. I think a lot of people didn't understand that it wasn't a Fiona Apple show, but a Nickel Creek show featuring Fiona. For example, the rude fan who asked about 2 or 3 songs into the set, Where is Fiona? to which Chris replied, Sir, Fiona is right here for now. pointing to his heart.

Fortunately, where I sat, which was to the left of the stage, not too many people were walking around a whole lot and they kept the talking to themselves.

As a diehard NC fan, it wasn't my absolute favorite show. I would have liked to see them in a smaller venue like Rams Head Live or Rams Head, but with Fiona touring with them, they definitely got a big pull of fans.

My girlfriend and I are considering making the trek down to Nashville for one of the last performances. I have a feeling that would be absolutely stellar.
